Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park Administration (NLPV)

The Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park Administration is an independent authority of the environmental administration of the State of Lower Saxony. It is responsible for tasks arising from the implementation of the corresponding Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park Act (NWattNPG).

This comprises the development and implementation of concepts and related measures regarding nature conservation, management and development in the national park – including meadow bird conservation.

Within the LIFE project GrassBirdHabitats, NLPV is working on the following actions:

Optimising meadow bird habitats in project area V01 Niedersächsisches Wattenmeer in Lower Saxony
Capacity building and acquisition of additional funding for meadow bird conservation and land acquisition
Predation management on the East Frisian Islands
Raising awareness for meadow bird conservation by dialogue with local stakeholders and the general public
